Getting started
Unboxing & setup
From unboxing to your first payment.
Step by step
- Unpack the payment terminal and the charging cable, then switch the device on.
- In the portal, open “Terminals” and find the QR code for your new device.
- On the terminal, tap “Scan” and scan the QR code shown in the portal.
- The terminal signs in automatically and is ready to accept payments.
- You can create separate QR codes for each branch, location or event venue.
Take your first payment
How to get paid with Aduno Pay.
Step by step
- Enter the amount: the built-in calculator adds up several items.
- Tap “Card”. Your customer pays contactless on the device.
- If tipping is enabled, predefined percentages or a free amount field appear.
- Print the receipt, or let your customer scan the QR code at the end for a digital one.
- For a refund, open the transaction, select “Refund” and enter your PIN.

Customise your logo and receipt
Show your brand on the device and the receipt.
Step by step
- In the portal, open the “Logo” section under Device Configuration.
- Use “Change logo” to pick your file: it needs a solid background, or it won’t print correctly.
- Choose whether the logo applies to this terminal, the whole location or the entire customer account.
- Under “Receipt text”, add a header below the address details and a footer at the end of the receipt.
- Save the configuration. The terminal applies the change after about a minute.

Create tickets and discover what's new.
Step by step
- In the portal, open the “Support” section and create a new ticket.
- Describe your issue as precisely as possible: the more detail, the faster the answer.
- Attach extra information or files if needed.
- Once sent, the ticket goes straight to our support team and you are kept informed.
- The release notes in the same section list the improvements, new features and bug fixes in each version.
Transactions at a glance
Keep transactions and revenue under control.
Step by step
- The dashboard shows total sales for the selected period.
- Use the filter to narrow the view to today, this week, this month or a custom period.
- The overview gives the number of transactions, the total tips and the average amount.
- Hover over the chart to see how your sales split across payment methods.
- Below that, recent transactions show the tip share; the green “Success” status confirms the payment.
Enable tipping
Set up tips for your business.
Step by step
- In the portal, open the “Tipping” section under Device Configuration.
- Choose whether the feature applies to this terminal, the whole location or all your terminals.
- Switch it on with the toggle on the right and set up to five percentages, for example 5, 10, 15 and 20.
- Save the configuration. The terminal applies the setting after about a minute.
- The suggestions appear during payment, and a customer who does not want to tip can skip them.

Why Aduno Pay?
Aduno Pay is a Swiss payment solution for SoftPOS, payment terminals and integrated POS payments. Accept Visa, Mastercard, TWINT and many other payment methods. Manage all transactions, payouts and fees transparently in the Aduno Pay portal.
Who is Aduno Pay for?
Aduno Pay is designed for businesses of all sizes. From sole proprietors and restaurants to retailers, service providers, multi-location businesses, events and companies with POS integrations.
Who can use Aduno Pay?
Aduno Pay is available to businesses, associations, foundations and public institutions in Switzerland. A successful registration and approval are required.
How much does Aduno Pay cost?
Aduno Pay stands for transparent fees and lets you choose between two models. Transparent: network fees are passed on at cost, plus a fixed service fee of 0.45%. Flat rate: one rate per payment, everything included – 1.3% for credit cards and 0.8% for debit cards from Visa and Mastercard. Hardware, service packages and optional services are charged separately. You can find our latest pricing on our pricing page.
Which payment methods can I accept with Aduno Pay?
With Aduno Pay you accept Visa, Visa Debit, V PAY, Mastercard, Debit Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, PostFinance Card, TWINT, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, Lunch-Check, Boncard and Reka. American Express, Lunch-Check, Boncard and Reka are included from the Business package onwards. Additional payment methods are added on a regular basis.
How transparent are the fees?
All fees are displayed transparently in the Aduno Pay portal. You can see network fees, the service fee, payouts and settlements in full detail.
When will I receive my payouts?
Payouts are processed according to your agreed payout schedule. The Aduno Pay portal shows when each transaction is expected to be credited to your bank account.
What are your cancellation terms?
There is no minimum term. You can cancel your package with one month’s notice.

Setup & getting started
Registration, devices and everyday use of Aduno Pay.
How do I register for Aduno Pay?
Registration only takes a few minutes and is completed entirely online. Once your account has been approved, you can activate your device and start accepting payments immediately.
Which devices are supported?
For SoftPOS, you need a compatible Android device with NFC and an internet connection. If you prefer not to use your own device, you can order a payment terminal directly from Aduno Pay. It arrives fully configured and ready to use.
Is Aduno Pay certified?
Yes. Aduno Pay complies with the requirements of the international card schemes and works with certified partners while meeting the latest payment security standards.
How many devices can I connect to my account?
You can manage as many devices and locations as you need. New devices can be added at any time.
How do I accept a payment?
Enter the amount on your terminal, POS system or in the app. The customer pays contactlessly. For transactions above CHF 80, the customer confirms the payment by entering their PIN on the device. A digital or printed receipt is then available.
Can I accept payments with PIN?
Yes. After tapping the card, customers in Switzerland must enter their PIN on the device for transactions above CHF 80.
Can I enable and configure tipping?
Yes. Tipping can be enabled or disabled for each device in the portal at any time. You decide whether customers see predefined percentage options or enter a custom amount.
Can I view tipping reports?
Yes. All tips are displayed in the portal dashboard, giving you a complete overview of the tips collected.
Can I customise the payment receipt?
Yes. You can customise the receipt text in accordance with regulatory requirements and upload your company logo.
Do I need a separate receipt printer?
No. Digital receipts are included as standard. If you require printed receipts, Aduno Pay supports external Sunmi printers and network-enabled Epson receipt printers.
Can I connect my POS system to Aduno Pay?
Yes. Aduno Pay integrates with a wide range of POS systems through direct integrations, APIs or Android Intents. We will be happy to help you find the right integration.
Portal & support
Your portal, your data and help when you need it.
Can I see all transactions in the portal?
Yes. The Aduno Pay portal gives you complete visibility of transactions, fees, refunds and payouts. You will also see when each transaction is expected to be paid out. If you require automatic bank reconciliation, we can support that as well.
How do I reset my login details?
Click “Forgot password” on the login screen and follow the instructions. If you no longer have access to your account, our support team will be happy to help.
How can I contact support?
Our Switzerland-based support team is available by phone and email. You will also find guides, videos and answers to frequently asked questions in our Help Center.
What should I do if I have a problem?
The fastest way to get help is through the Support section in your customer portal. Simply describe your issue and it will be routed to the right team. Of course, you can also contact us by phone or email.
What happens if my device breaks?
With Aduno Pay, you are never tied to a single device. If you have another Android device, simply install the Aduno Pay app and scan the QR code from your portal. Your new device will be ready to accept payments within seconds. If you are using an Aduno Pay terminal, we will of course arrange a replacement as quickly as possible.
